What is the overhead cranes?

Overhead cranes cover a rectangular area, moving a load side to side and backward and forward. The lifting device, called a hoist is mounted on a trolley for horizontal movement across a bridge girder connected to one or more horizontal girders which are supported at either end by end-carriage. The end-carriages are attached at right angles to the girders and move on fixed runways. The horizontal travel of push type cranes is powered manually by the operator; alternately, an electric overhead crane is powered by electricity. Still other cranes can be air-powered (pneumatic). The parallel arrangement of two special girders allows the use of our double girder cranes for heavy-load applications such as in foundries, turbine installation and maintenance and machine construction.

Particularly for high capacities and large spans, the special girders profile leads to a significant reduction of dead weight and installation dimensions. Its high stability allows capacities of up to 100 tons or spans of up to 50 meters.
